The panel also highlighted the potential of AI-powered analytics and real-time reporting tools to enhance traditional safety metrics, making data collection more effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Think of how much data we sit on,\u201d Ratwani said. \u201cNow we have the capability to manage that. One of the biggest challenges [hospitals and health systems face] is that it\u2019s hard to measure progress when every day is different. AI can enable us to identify patterns we otherwise wouldn\u2019t be able to find.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ratwani addressed barriers to technology adoption, including workflow disruptions and how to implement technology in a way that is sustainable, while McDonald stressed the need for a just culture to support innovation. The discussion underscored that technology alone isn\u2019t the solution\u2014progress comes from the intersection of human expertise, data and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Call for Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Filmmaker Mike Eisenberg spoke about the power of storytelling and personal connection and its ability to inspire action in anyone, not just those that work in the healthcare space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"The side we don\u2019t see is the innovation in healthcare before it reaches the public,\u201d Eisenberg said, referring to the mountains innovators climb to bring technology to life. \u201cI think that\u2019s an important thing to show the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion concluded with a collective call to action:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Healthcare leaders must work closely with external innovators to bring life-saving technologies into practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember the people \u2013 the patients, families and providers \u2013 behind the data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find your voice.
