Together, these capabilities bring rostering, staffing insight and staff engagement into a single, connected system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashford and St Peter\u2019s has a long history with RLDatix, having been one of the earliest adopters of electronic rostering in the NHS. Following a period of evaluating alternative approaches, including four years with a different supplier, the trust has now chosen to return to Allocate Optima, building on its previous experience with the system to support its current and future workforce needs. This latest investment introduces enhanced functionality to support today\u2019s workforce requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, Allocate Optima, SafeCare and Loop will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>support safer staffing aligned to patient acuity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enable more effective workforce deployment and opportunities for staff redeployment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reduce reliance on temporary staffing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve workforce experience by giving staff greater visibility and control over their working patterns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support flexible working and staff wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This enables more efficient use of resources while also improving day-to-day experience for staff, including reducing avoidable temporary staffing spend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The platform will also support the trust\u2019s wider digital transformation, enabling more consistent, data-driven workforce management and reducing reliance on manual processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution aligns with the trust\u2019s wider group model, supporting closer working with partner organisations, including Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementation is currently underway and is expected to be completed by August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jo Fanning, Chief People Officer at Ashford and St Peter\u2019s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThis investment marks an important step forward in how we support our Agenda for Change staff and deliver safe, effective care for our patients.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>By implementing <\/em>Allocate Optima<em>, alongside SafeCare and Loop, we are strengthening our ability to ensure staffing levels reflect patient need, while also improving the experience for our teams.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Our Agenda for Change staff are already familiar with the system and have responded very positively, and we are confident it will support both staff wellbeing and more effective use of our resources.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Sanders, President UK and Ireland, at RLDatix, added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to be supporting Ashford and St Peter\u2019s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in strengthening how they plan and deploy their workforce.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>By bringing together rostering, acuity-based staffing and staff engagement tools in a single platform, the trust will have greater visibility of demand and the flexibility to respond in real time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This is key to reducing reliance on temporary staffing, supporting staff wellbeing and, ultimately, delivering safer care for patients.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Ashford and St Peter\u2019s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashford and St Peter\u2019s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of more than 410,000 people living in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking and parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond. We are the leading Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit in Surrey, caring for some of the smallest and sickest babies across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
