{"id":8749,"date":"2021-01-27T11:41:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T10:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rldatix.com\/en-uki\/?post_type=news&#038;p=8749"},"modified":"2025-11-25T14:10:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T13:10:08","slug":"allocate-supports-msc-in-healthcare-analytics-and-artificial-intelligence","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.rldatix.com\/en-uki\/company\/news\/allocate-supports-msc-in-healthcare-analytics-and-artificial-intelligence\/","title":{"rendered":"Allocate Supports MSc in Healthcare Analytics and Artificial Intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Allocate is supporting a ground-breaking digital health degree to help meet the growing demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analysis experts in healthcare and improve progression for underrepresented groups, into data science professions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported by NHSX and Health Education England (HEE), this 1-year course (2 years for part time students) will include support from NHSX, NHS England and Improvement, HEE, Deloittes and Allocate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allocate is currently working with the University course team to support the development of two of the modules in the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new MSc Data Analytics and AI course at Sheffield Hallam University began on 11th January 2021. The first cohort is made up of 16 successful applicants that will help to shape the future of healthcare, from vision to practice, using state-of-the-art technologies in data analytics and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The postgraduate conversion course is targeted at healthcare employees who are interested in upskilling into technical roles, individuals who have taken a career break and former healthcare staff looking to return to work, as well as clinicians in roles that are exposed to health data and dashboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.allocatesoftware.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2021\/01\/press-hallam.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lyn McIntyre MBE<\/strong>, UK Director of Healthcare said \u201cAllocate is delighted to be working with Sheffield Hallam University on this new MSc course, supporting underrepresented groups and providing new career pathways for healthcare staff as well as advancing practice through data science and technology. The programme supports Allocate\u2019s contribution to clinical excellence through the use of data and data intelligence, meeting the needs of the NHS Long Term Plan and Topol Review.
