Palooza Day One: RLDatix Unveils Connected Healthcare Operations

March 12, 2024:

Kicking off events on the main stage at Palooza 2024 | Connected Healthcare, RLDatix CEO Jeff Surges debuted the company’s focus on connected healthcare operations, defining it as a new category harnessing actionable data and insightful analytics to break down silos and improve safety, accuracy and efficiency across the continuum of care.

Globally, medical errors are responsible for three million patient deaths per year.

These errors are generally the result of system or process failures, not individual healthcare workers’ practices. To address preventable harm, healthcare organizations need information. The healthcare industry generates 30% of the world’s data, and the amount of healthcare data doubles every three years. When healthcare operations aren’t connected, information is largely siloed, hindering health systems’ ability to predict and prevent safety incidents. Today, 97% of data goes unused because of disconnected operations.

“Preventable harm is still at an all-time high,” said RLDatix CEO Jeff Surges. “Getting information out of silos, making it usable and accessible to get to high reliability and prevention—this is where we come from and what we’re rooted in.”

Through connected healthcare operations, RLDatix is raising the standard of safer healthcare for all:

  • Safer patient care and better outcomes.

  • Improved financial and operational performance.

  • A happier and more productive workforce.
