What we learnt about Patient Transport at the HFMA

t was a pleasure to meet so many of you at the HFMA Annual Conference 2022 in December where we were talking about how we can help you to drive down your patient transportation costs.

From conversation to conversation we were hearing from many finance directors around the NHS that patient transport and the costs involved in the day-to-day operations is on your action list to review. It was also evident that organisations needed support in the procurement of safe and cost-effective transport providers.

Whilst the event has passed, our discussions are continuing with a number of finance directors who are now bringing transport operation leads into the talks to show them how Allocate Transport Marketplace can be launched into the Trust for free.

It’s happening! The NHS Procurement Conference and Awards event will be held in Birmingham and London this year; an opportunity for Procurement Leaders across Trusts to come together to share some common procurement challenges they’ve encountered and best practices. More importantly, it’s a chance to celebrate and appreciate all the great work the NHS does and have been doing.

We’ll also be there to greet you in person and show how we’ve been key to supporting the NHS in driving change and improvement within the space of Patient Transporting.
